BRASILIAN SUPPORTING SERVICE TO MICRO AND SMALL ENTERPRISES IN THE STATE OF SÃO PAULO SEBRAE

A regional unity of the Brasilian Supporting Service to Micro and Small Enterprises in the State of São Paulo (Sebrae) is located in Piracicaba. Sebrae is responsible for the development and improvement of micro and small enterprises, providing products and services especially designed for the needs of small businesses.

Sebrae's activities are vital for the updating of micro and small enterprises that play an important role as suppliers of largger companies. Sebrae regional unit of Piracicaba in a joint effort with larger companies has qualified suppliers for the Total Quality program.

CENTER OF INDUSTRIES OF THE STATE OF SÃO PAULO - CIESP REGIONAL OF PIRACICABA

The Center of Industries of The State of São Paulo is a non-governmental organization whose members are industrial companies located within the state. Piracicaba has a Regional Directory with jurisdiction over the cities of Águas de São Pedro, São Pedro, Charqueada, Iracemópolis, Rio das Pedras, Laranjal Paulista and Saltinho.

Founded in 1968 the Regional Directory of CIESP has 156 associate industries. CIESP provides several services to the associated industries like training in management, quality, cost, human resources, safety at work, and computing, among others. It also provides legal orientation in areas like labor rights and tax payment.

CIESP headquarters are located in São Paulo city. Its 11 specialized departments offer a ggreat variety of services for companies, including Exterior Commerce, Economy, Union and Labor Relations, Legal Services, Technological services, Environmentaal services, etc.

CIESP works actively with SESI (Industrie 'Social Service) and SENAI (National Service of Industrial Apprenticeship), both with offices in Piracicaba. CIESP promotes activities to fulfill industril community's objective, that is, to generate technology, provide employee training, education and entertainment.
