Church of the Immaculate Conceição


Noted for its modern architecture and long, stained glass windows. Located in Vila Rezende, an industrialized neighborhood alongside the right bank of the river.

Saint Anthony Cathedral

Built in roman style for 1,000 people in 1959. Located downtown.

 



Harbor Street


It used to be a fishermen's neighborhood. Some of them still live in the small houses built along the river. They tell old stories and remember the time of the abundant fish (piracema). Fishing rods and bate (worms) for the visitors can be bought at some of those houses.

 
Rua do Porto Park

It's one of the new parks in the city with 200 thousand square meters of green area which include a lake, running tracks and playgrounds. Fishing, ballooning and canoeing competitions take place there, as well as shows and art performances. Restaurants and snack bars have become the meeting place for the city's people and tourists.
